The word homelessness sounds self explanatory, but in relation to people who either sleep rough or use hostels and night shelters, homelessness is merely a symptom of a more deep-seated set of problems. For this reason, the solution is more complex and difficult than just the provision of housing.Alice Leahy, director and co-founder of TRUST feels those on the margins of society are no better off now than they were 35 years ago when TRUST first opened its door. Would You Believe spends a week visiting the centre, meeting friends and volunteers of TRUST and discovering what inspires this former nurse from Tipperary to keep going 35 years on.
